Ruth G. (Wardensky) Lockard, 84, of Windsor Locks wife of the late William Lockard passed away at St. Francis Hospital on Monday 7, 2012. Ruth was born November 25, 1927, in Beckley, West Virginia the daughter of the late Adam and Barbara (Kaminski) Wardensky. Family was the center of Ruth’s life and she is survived by her children; Barbara Crannell (Mark) of Enfield, Patricia Castonguay of Georgia, Cheryl Root (Scott), Frank Lockard, Lisa Ready (Peter), James Lockard, Jamie Lockard (Anna) all of Windsor Locks. Ruth is also survived by 14 grandchildren, Ernie Jr., Michelle and Gina Malego, Heather Crannell, Keith Jr. and April Castonguay, Mark Root, Heather, Dennis and Jeanna Lockard, Jesse, Amanda and Shaley Ready and Anna Lockard; four great grandchildren, Giovanni Root, Audrey Teixeira, Olivia and Josiah Ready. Ruth was predeceased by three children, Ernie Malego, Sharon and Silvia Lockard and a granddaughter, Ashley Ready. Relatives and friends are welcome to join the family on Monday, May 14, 2012, from 5 pm to 8 pm at the Windsor Locks Funeral Home, 441 Spring St., Windsor Locks. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, May 15, 2012, at 10 am at St. Mary Church, 42 Spring St. (Please meet at the church) Burial will be held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers memorial donations in memory of Ruth may be made to Camp Sunshine, 35 Acadia Rd.
