George Zima, 81, of Enfield, entered into eternal peace Saturday Nov. 2, 2013 at St. Francis Hospital in Hartford. The son of the late Paul Sr. and Anna (Krizan) Zima, George was born and raised in Enfield and had lived in the community all of his life. He was a U.S. Army veteran who served honorably during the Korean War. George was well known with local fisherman as he and his brothers operated Zima’s Bait shop for many years in Enfield. An outdoor enthusiast, he enjoyed fishing and snowmobiling. He also enjoyed spending time with his dog Dube, his faithful companion. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his brothers, John Zima and Paul “Sonny”Zima, Jr. The graveside service will be private.
