Claire Amelia (Zawistowski) Dubanoski, 81, lifelong resident of Enfield and loving wife of Edward W. Dubanoski entered into Eternal Rest on Tuesday, August 16, 2016, at Parkway Pavilion with her family by her side. Claire was born November 15, 1934, in Enfield the daughter of the late Stephen and Amelia (Rzasa) Zawistowski. Claire volunteered for several years at Parkway Pavilion while her ailing mother was there and worked at Gladys Alterations in Enfield. She was an avid fan of the UCONN Women's Basketball and enjoyed spending time in her garden. Claire and Ed enjoyed polka dancing and camping with family and friends. Very proud of her Polish heritage, she was a wonderful cook especially with Polish cuisine. During her life, Claire was a devoted daughter to her parents, a loving and devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother who gave tirelessly of herself and loved unconditionally. She dedicated her life to her marriage, her children, her home, and her pride and joy her four grandchildren. Her dedication to her husband and her family were limitless. In addition to her husband, Ed of 58 years she is also survived by her three sons, Michael Dubanoski, Steven Dubanoski and his wife, Donna all of Enfield, and Scott Dubanoski and his wife, Kim of Somers. Claire was also the doting grandmother to her four loving grandchildren, Thomas Edward Dubanoski and his wife, Kayleigh, Kevin John Dubanoski, Erika Rose Dubanoski and Allison Claire Dubanoski and several nieces and nephews. Claire was predeceased by a sister, Mary Smyth. Claire's family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff for the wonderful and compassionate care she received through the years at Parkway Pavilion. Funeral services and burial will be held privately at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Parkway Pavilion Recreation Fund, 1157 Enfield St., Enfield, CT 06082.
