Obituary for Nuvart A. Hottin

Nuvart A.  Hottin
Nuvart A. (Baronian) Hottin, 94, of Enfield, beloved wife of 37 years to Arthur W. Hottin, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 20, 2016, at Wingate at Hampden. She was born on March 21, 1922, in the Thompsonville section of Enfield, a daughter of the late Vahan and Aznief (Manvelian) Baronian. Nuvart was a graduate of Enfield High School Class of 1939 and American International College Class of 1943. She was a junior high teacher for Kittery Maine School System and then South Windsor Public Schools retiring in 1983 after 39 years. Nuvart was a member of the Calvary Presbyterian Church, a lifetime member of the Connecticut Education Association, Association of Retired Teachers of Connecticut, and the Hartford County Retired Teachers Association. She enjoyed knitting, reading, and traveling. In addition to her loving husband Arthur, she is survived by five step-sons, Robert Hottin of Boston, MA, William Hottin and his wife Ramona of Monson, MA, Arthur J. Hottin and his wife Julie of Longmeadow, MA, Michael Hottin and his fiancé Angela Carattini of Westfield, MA, and Stephen Hottin of Boston, MA; four step-grandsons, Eric, Jeffrey, and Ryan Hottin and Evan Brassard and his wife Melanie, two niece Diane Hover and Lynn Baronian and a nephew Robert Tarpinian. She was predeceased by two brothers George and Raymond Baronian and a sister Marguerite Tarpinian. Relatives and friends may join the family on Wednesday, August 24, 2016 from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. at Leete-Stevens Enfield Chapels, 61 South Road, Enfield, CT. A funeral procession will gather on Thursday, August 25, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home for a funeral service to be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. at Calvary Presbyterian Church, 1518 King Street, Enfield, CT. Memorial donations in Nuvart's memory may be made to Calvary Presbyterian Church,1518 King Street, Enfield, CT 06082.
