Obituary for Thomas C. Riley

Thomas C. “Tom” Riley, 87, loving husband of the late Irene (Podosek) Riley, peacefully passed away Sunday, July 15, 2018 at The Suffield House. He was a lifelong resident of Enfield, living in Plant City, FL for 8 years, and returning to Enfield in March 2015.
Tom proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. He was a hardworking individual who enjoyed a long career as a Supervisor at Digital Corporation. After retirement, he worked part time at Hertz Rental Car for several years.
Tom enjoyed golfing, bowling, fishing, and playing cards. He also enjoyed watching the Red Sox and trips to the casino.
Thomas is survived by his loving daughter and son-in-law, Lauren and Peter Fisher of Enfield; his beloved granddaughters Megan Fisher of Ellington and Nicole Sansone and her husband Gary of Milford; his great grandsons, Tyson and Brixton Sansone; his sister, Jean Sharon and her husband John of Enfield; his sister-in-law, Marilyn Riley of Enfield; his dear friend Lillian Piepul of Enfield; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, Frederick “Fred” Riley.
His family would like to thank the staff at The Suffield House for their exceptional care and for treating “Mr. Riley” like he was a part of their own family.
A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, July 23, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. at Leete-Stevens Enfield Chapels, 61 South Rd., Enfield. Burial with military honors will follow at St Patrick's King St cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Tom’s memory may be made to the Michael J.
