Obituary for Robert F. Rivard

Robert F. Rivard, (75), of Enfield, beloved husband of Judith (Harker) Rivard for 42 years, entered into eternal peace Monday Sept. 11, 2017 at Parkway Pavilion in Enfield. Born in Springfield, MA, he was the son of the late Ledias and Amanda (Gagnon) Rivard. Bob was a lifetime resident of the Enfield community and was a communicant of St. Bernard Church. He served honorably in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Conflict. He was formerly employed at Scitico Market before retiring from Pratt & Whitney where he was employed for 34 years. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 50 in Enfield. Bob enjoyed woodworking, painting, and especially family vacations and travelling. Besides his wife Judith, Bob is survived by two daughters, Louise Coscina and her husband Jeffrey of New Britain, and Amanda Roberge and her husband Randy of Stafford Springs; eight grandchildren, Sean, Jason, Anthony, Amber, Madelyn, Amillio, Daniel, and Dante; two great grandchildren, Elizabeth and Benjamin, and a son-in-law, Steven Mylotte. Bob was predeceased by a daughter, Bonnie Lee Main, and a grandson, Keith. Visitation hours will be held from 4-7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 14, 2017 at Leete-Stevens Enfield Chapels, 61 south Rd., Enfield. Family and friends will gather at 9:00 a.m. Friday, Sept. 15, 2017 for a procession to St. Bernard Church in Enfield for a 10:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial.
