Anna T. (Navaroli) Pomeroy Wright, 100, of Windsor Locks, CT passed away on Friday, September 8, 2017, at St. Francis Hospital. Anna was born January 30, 1917, in Meriden, CT the daughter of the late James and Libra “Mary” (Antonucci) Navaroli. All will miss “Granma Anna”. She was our matriarch, our strength toward family gatherings with her cooking and baking throughout the years. Most families received beautiful crocheted blankets from her handiwork. Even toward the end of her life, Anna had a sharp mind and awareness. There are many nephews and nieces who will miss her warm hospitality. Anna is survived by three children, Ruth Pomeroy Westervelt (William) of East Granby, Ronald Pomeroy (Ann) of Windsor Locks, Doris Pomeroy Violette (Malcolm)of Zephrhills, FL; her sister, Angie Manning of Enfield and a sister-in-law, Lois Thompson of Canada; 11 grandchildren, Susan, Nancy, Cynthia, Kevin, Christopher, Wendy, Lisa, Todd, Heather, Diane, and David,14 great-grandchildren, Shawn, Cedar, Tahoma, Kristina, Julie, Melissa, Shaelyn, Brandon, Audrey, Bjorn, Annalise, Daniella, Marcel and Gabriel; 6 great-great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Anna was predeceased by 7 siblings, Margaret, Rachel, John , Alex, Dominic, Michael, Frank and her two husbands, Ralph Pomeroy and Ernest Wright. Relatives and friends are welcome to join the family during visiting hours on Tuesday, September 12, 2017, from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm at the Windsor Locks Funeral Home, 441 Spring St., Windsor Locks. A funeral service celebrating Anna’s life will be held at 12:30 pm at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery in Suffield.
