Robert L. McCray Jr., 69, of Somers, beloved husband of Margaret (Fournier) McCray, passed away peacefully, Tuesday January 10, 2017 at home. Born in Savannah, GA, Robert was the son of the late Robert L. McCray Sr. and Florence (Gray) McCray. He lived in the Somers community for 37 years and was employed by Pratt & Whitney for 38 years. Robert enjoyed spending time outside farming and working around his property. Besides his wife, he leaves five children, Jerome McCray and his fiancée Betty of Waterbury, Zenobia McCray of Enfield, Paxton McCray and his wife Valerie of Monson, MA, Maegan McCray-Leblanc and her husband Dan of Enfield, and Robert M. McCray and his wife Darlene of Somers; two brothers, Larry and Jerald; four sisters, Patricia, Latrelle, Sondra, Vera ; ten grandchildren, Olivia, Keisha, Taja, Elyjah, Brittany, Robert, Eve, Kyle, Brianna, and Isaiah; five great grandchildren, Mason, Amaya, Benjamin, Florence and Oliver and several nieces and nephews. Visitation hours will be held from 4-7 p.m. Friday January 13, 2017 at Somers Funeral Home, 354 Main St. Somers. A Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, January 14, 2017 at the Somers Baptist Church, 40 Battle St., Somers, CT (Please meet at church).
