Obituary for Lloyd F. Dufour

Lloyd F. Dufour, 73, of Glendale Cir., Windsor Locks loving husband of 48 years to Patricia “Pat” (Madore) Dufour passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 14, 2017, in the comfort of his home with his family by his side. Lloyd was born January 16, 1943, in Somerville, MA and lived in Somerville for two years prior to moving to Van Buren, ME. Lloyd moved back to CT in 1950 and moved to Windsor Locks where he and Pat raised their family. He was a graduate of Bloomfield High School Class of 1961. After high school Lloyd enlisted in the United States Marine Corps serving for six years. He retired in 2001 from Briarwood Custom Homes after 34 years. Lloyd married Patricia Madore in 1968 and together they raised four children. In addition to his wife, Pat he is also survived by his mother Anita (Bouchard) D’Abato of Winter Springs, FL; three children, Michael Dufour and his wife, Jennifer of Ludlow, MA, Matthew Dufour of Vernon and Daniel Dufour and his fiancée Jessie Misciagna of Windsor Locks; his 6 beloved grandchildren, Melanie, Jacob and Arin Dufour, Ashley Nastalczyk, Arianna Erazo and Stella Dufour; two brothers, Allen Dufour and his wife, Donna of Baltimore, MD and Douglas Dufour and his wife, Kathy of Vernon, CT; his sisters, Barbara Ferlazzo and her husband, Richard of Orlando, FL, Pamela Katzman and her husband, Michael of Simsbury and a step-sister, Denise D’Abato of Daytona, FL. Lloyd was predeceased by his father Fernand Dufour; a daughter, Michele Nastalczyk; a brother, Rodney Dufour and his step-father, Ernest D’Abato. Relatives and friends are welcome to join the family on Thursday, January 19, 2016, from 4 pm to 8 pm at the Windsor Locks Funeral Home, 441 Spring St., Windsor Locks, CT. A funeral procession will gather on Friday, January 20, 2017, at 9 am at the funeral home for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10 am at St. Mary Church. Burial with military honors will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society P.O.
