George J.  Kelley
George J. Kelley, 86 of Enfield and beloved husband of Marie (Brennan) Kelley of Enfield, entered into Eternal Rest on Saturday (February 25, 2017) at Evergreen Health Care Center surrounded by his family. George was born in Manchester, CT on July 19, 1930, the son of the late George J. and Harriett (Berry) Kelley. George has resided in Enfield for 58 years and previously resided in Manchester. He retired from Pratt & Whitney after 35 years. A veteran of the United States Navy, George proudly served his country during the Korean War. George is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Marie. He enjoyed watching sports especially the UCONN sports teams. In addition to his wife he is also survived by four children; Daniel J. Kelley and his wife Karen of Windsor, Steven F. Kelley and his wife Cheryl of Kissimmee, FL, Timothy S. Kelley and his wife Heidi of Enfield and Kathleen M. Kelley of Enfield; seven grandchildren, Shannon, Shane, Sean, Connor, Caitlin, Andrea and Peter; four great-grandsons, Aidan, Brennan, Elijah and Cade; a brother, Mike Kelley and his wife, Evelyn of Wellfleet, MA; a sister, Carol Dixon and her husband, Harry of Salinas, CA and several nieces and nephews. George was predeceased by a brother, Thomas H. Kelley. His family would like to thank the nurses and staff at Evergreen for the wonderful and compassionate care George received. George's family will receive relatives and friends during visiting hours on Wednesday, March 1, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Leete-Stevens Enfield Chapels, 61 South Road, Enfield. Funeral and burial will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent to Evergreen Health Care Center Recreation Fund, 205 Chestnut Hill Rd., P.O.
