Karen E. (Hickey) Yukimura, 69, of Lihue, HI and longtime resident of Somers, CT passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 21, 2017, at St. Francis Hospital. Karen was born December 29, 1947, in Waterbury, CT the daughter of the late Thomas and Kay (Martin) Hickey. Karen had been a practicing clinical psychologist in the area. After retiring in 2005, Karen and Paul made their permanent residence on Kauai, Hawaii. She also had a knack for interior design. Karen is survived by her husband, Paul; four children, Scott Yukimura and his wife, Dawn, Ken Yukimura, Neil Yukimura all of Somers and Jennifer Yukimura of Boston, MA; her three beloved grandchildren, Jackson, Kylie and Brooklyn.
