Condolences

Condolence From: Horace
Condolence: My sincere condolences for the loss of your loved one. Be assured that the almighty God truly cares for the family!

May you find comfort in the promise that "... there is going to be a resurrection of both the righteous and the unrighteous" (Acts 24:15), and very soon "... no resident will say, 'I am sick'" (Isa. 33:24) because "... death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.”(Rev. 21:4)

How is this possible? Visit JW. ORG and search for 'Why did Jesus die?'. Then watch the video.

Condolence From: John C. Shukie
Condolence: Dear Mary and Maureen,
I was greatly saddened to hear of Brian's passing today. Thinking of him brings back so many happy memories of Northwest Catholic in general and NWC football in particular. It was such a pleasure for me to have been Brian's coach. Not only because of his great skill but because of his great heart. He was so physically strong and such a dominate player and yet he was so humble, sincere, and dedicated to his teammates, coaches, and school. Off of the field he was one of the gentlest and kindest student-athletes that I have known in all of my many years of coaching. I was and am still so very proud of him and thankful for the opportunity to have worked with him. It has always been my sincere opinion that he could have been a standout player on the college level but that was not the direction that he wanted to take.
In many ways on the field Brian was a man among boys. Opponents had to most often use two players to block him. Northwest had become a pretty small school when Brian attended but he more than helped us be competitive and was certainly a major reason we were able to win the Hartford County Conference championship in 1987. His quiet determination and seemingly constant energy were an inspiration to his teammates and won the admiration of all his coaches.
I remember that we had to buy him a special helmet because his head was too large for any that we had at that time. It was white and certainly made him stand out among his NWC teammates more than he already did. He took it in stride just like everything else. I also recall the time that he and his brother Pat got their signals crossed and he spent a good part of the night at the Uncasville fire house after a game against St Bernards HS. The firemen said that he wasn't upset at all and knew that somebody would be coming for him sooner or later.
I really wish that time and distance prevent me from saying these things to you in person. Please know that he and you are in my thoughts and prayers. I am sure I speak for many from NWC and elsewhere when I say that I am a better person because for a period of time he was part of my life. With sincere regrets John Shukie Northwest Catholic HS retired Baltimore, Maryland
