Daniel J.  Yorke
Daniel J. Yorke, 63, beloved husband of Robin Lynn Doiron-Yorke, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 25, 2017 at St. Francis Hospital with his family at his side. Daniel was born on August 18, 1954 in Dunkirk, NY and was the son of the late John and Frances (Dailous) Yorke. Dan resided in Windsor Locks for the past 17 years and was employed with his wife in the trucking business. Dan proudly served our Country in the United States Air Force as a flight instructor in Texas. He was a lover of music and played the guitar in the bands Blue Max and Street Theater. He loved live music and was an avid Buffalo Bills fan. Dan will forever be remembered for his kindness and his patience. In addition to his wife, Daniel is survived by three children, Christopher Yorke and his wife, Nicki of Nashville, TN, Rebecca Finale of Clarksville, TN, and Tara Miller and her husband, William of Clarksville, TN; two brothers John Yorke and his wife, Michele of Dunkirk, NY, and Richard Yorke and his wife, Cecilia of Florida; two sisters, Jennifer Sam and her husband, Randall of Fredonia, NY and Linda Marie Lawhead and her husband, Lee of Brocton, NY; seven beloved grandchildren; one great-grandchild; several nieces and nephews and a special buddy, Zachary Ranney of Enfield; and his two beloved cats, Dante and Baylee. In addition to his parents, Dan was predeceased by his loving animals, Harley and Punkin'. Graveside services for Daniel with military honors will be held on Wednesday, August 30 at 11:00 a.m. in the Middletown State Veterans Cemetery, 317 Bow Lane, Middletown, CT 06457. There will be no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Daniel's memory may be made to Connecticut Cat Connection, 40 Stevens Mill Rd, Windsor, CT 06095, or any local animal shelter of one's choice.
