William Steven "Bill"  Rampelli
William "Bill" Steven Rampelli, 67, of Windsor Locks, beloved husband of Cheryl (LaValley) Rampelli for 35 years, entered into eternal peace at home in the comfort of his family on Thursday, August 31, 2017. Born and raised in Hartford, he was the son of the late Louis and Ellen (Johnson) Rampelli. He lived in Windsor Locks for most of his life and was a parishioner of St. Mary Church. He was retired from the Windsor Locks Public Works Dept. after 19 years. He was a volunteer EMT for the Windsor Locks Lions Club Ambulance for over 35 years. Bill loved the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing, and was a member of the Bloomfield Fish & Game Club for over 35 years. Besides his wife Cheryl, he is survived by: two daughters, Christina M. Rampelli of Windsor Locks and Melissa M. Rampelli and her husband Brendan Fay of Philadelphia, PA; two sisters, Doris Melanson of Stonington, CT and Jean Brisson and her husband Ed of Cocoa Beach, FL; a grandson, Declan William Fay; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, Robert Rampelli. Visitation hours will be held from 4-7 p.m. on Tuesday, September 5, 2017 at Windsor Locks Funeral Home, 441 Spring St., Windsor Locks. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 6, 2017 at St. Mary Church (please meet at the church), 42 Spring St., Windsor Locks. Committal will follow at St. Mary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Bill's memory may be made to the Windsor Locks Lions Club Ambulance, PO Box 105, Windsor Locks, CT 06096, or to the CT Cat Connection, 40 Stevens Mill Rd., Windsor, CT 06095.
