Obituary for James E. Albro

James E.  Albro
James E. Albro, 79, of Enfield, beloved husband of Janice (Mudgett) Albro for 57 years, entered into eternal peace, Friday Sept. 1, 2017 at the Masonic Healthcare Center in Wallingford.
Son of the late Lyman and Mary (Gavigan) Albro, Jim was born and raised in Willimantic and lived in Enfield since 1961. He was a graduate of Manchester High School and Howell Cheney Tech. He served in the Army National Guard for 9 years. Jim was employed by Hamilton Standard for 22 years, retiring as a Design Draftsman in 1999. He was a member of Enfield Congregational Church, a Past Master of Composite Lodge 28, A.F. & A.M. of Suffield, and a Past Patron of Ionic Chapter #100, O.E.S.
Jim was an avid golfer, a dedicated Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots fan.
Besides his wife Janice, Jim is survived by four children, Robert Albro and his wife Sherri of Zionsville, PA, Susan Lacey and her husband James of Colorado Springs, CO, Sharon Ingram and Livio Biasuitti of Suffield, and Carolyn Martin of Suffield; a brother Richard Albro, and sisters Victoria Gayles and Betty Houle; seven grandchildren, Brandon, Miranda, Alexander, Michael, Joe, Callan and Hannah; a great grandson, Jace . Several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two brothers, Caleb Albro and Lyman Albro, one sister, Mary Rose Pelkey and a grandson Benjamin Albro.
His family especially thank the staff at Masonicare for the wonderful care they provided. Services and burial will be private.
