Ounheun Lengsavath, 84, of East Hartford, beloved husband of Chansouk (Soukhaphone) Lengsavath for 57 years, passed away Tuesday, September 5, 2017 at St. Francis Hospital. Ounheun was born May 2, 1933 in Laos, the son of the late Leng Kia Kith and Chanpheng Lengsavath. In 1980 he and his family immigrated to the U.S. living first in MA and later in CT. He was formerly employed by Kurt Brothers in Manchester and later with J.T. Slocomb in Glastonbury. Ounheun enjoyed working around his home, and was a busy handyman; but his true joy was spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. In addition to his loving wife, Chansouk, Ounheun is survived by six children, Anouphone Lengsavath, Anouphin Hasler and her husband, James Hasler Jr. of Avon, Anouphan Lengsavath, Anouphorn Paditsone and her husband, Khon of Broad Brook, Anouphen Kohler and her husband, Richard K of Glastonbury, and Anouphap Lengsavath and his wife Lori of East Hartford; seven beloved grandchildren, Justin Hasler, Amanda Hasler, Erica Paditsone, Katie Lengsavath, Taryn Kohler, Jesse Kohler, and Jasmine Lengsavath; he also leaves many brothers and sisters and extended family members. Family and friends may gather from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 9, 2017 for visitation hours at Leete-Stevens Enfield Chapels, 61 South Road, Enfield. A funeral service will be held on Sunday, September 10, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at Leete-Stevens Enfield Chapels.
