Obituary for Marie R. Knybel

Marie R. (Urbanowski) Knybel, 81, of Springfield, MA peacefully entered into eternal rest on Sunday, October 1, 2017, with her loving and supportive family by her side in her final days. She was born on September 9, 1936 in Enfield, CT. She was the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Klezos) Urbanowski. Marie was employed at Marshall's of Springfield for over thirty years. She enjoyed going to the casino, playing Bingo, building puzzles, doing word searches but especially spending time with family whenever she could. Marie was a wonderful cook and enjoyed having her family over for those special home cooked dinners of galumpkis, roast beef or spaghetti and meatballs. She loved her sports and was an avid fan of the Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots. Just recently she was able to enjoy the Urbanowski family reunion where relatives from near and far came together for a memorable fun filled day complete with all her favorite foods, games and festivities. She was happiest to see her grandchildren whom she loved immensely. Her wit and sense of humor always got a laugh.
