David S. Parkhurst, 41, of Enfield, passed away peacefully, Thursday November 23, 2017 at St. Francis Hospital in Hartford after a long battle with cancer. Born in Holyoke, MA, David was raised in Enfield where he lived for most of his life. He was employed for Plasma Technology in South Windsor for several years. He was a former member of the Enfield Explorers and also volunteered as a Forest Park Ranger in Springfield. David loved gardening, cooking, and music. He will be remembered for his love for giving and helping others. He is survived by his husband, George (Baez) Parkhurst of Chicopee, MA, his mother Diane Parkhurst of Enfield, his brother, Rob Parkhurst of Enfield, and his uncle George Parkhurst of Naples, FL. He was predeceased by his father, Roger Mortimer. Visitation hours will be held from 4-7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 28, 2017 at Leete-Stevens Enfield Chapels, 61 South Rd., Enfield. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 29, 2017 at Leete-Stevens. Burial is private.
