Obituary for Sharon L. Boulanger

Sharon L. Boulanger, 55, died at home in Mystic, CT, Saturday December 2, 2017. Sharon thrived off joy and was most known for her boundless kindness and compassion. During her brief time working in the Ellington Public School system, she fondly befriended shy students and “troublemakers” and spent most of her time making her ESL students feel at home. More recently, Sharon could be found searching for lost dogs of Connecticut on cold, rainy days, and while it was occasionally exhausting for her friends and family members to trudge behind her in assistance, her exuberance when she was successful in finding a lost pet made all of her muddy efforts well worth it. Her hope and joy for others was infectious, and Sharon’s greatest legacy is in how she inspired her family, particularly her daughter, to be kind, to give, and to emit light whenever and wherever possible. It is impossible to fully list all of the hearts Sharon touched in her brief lifetime, but it is a number her family can be very proud of. She leaves her husband Normand A. Boulanger, Daughter Andi Boulanger and her partner Shelby Sherman, sisters Diane Doyker and Shirley Medeiros, Mother-in-law Elisa Boulanger, sisters-in-law Liz Boulanger and Marie Benoit and many nephews and nieces.
She was predeceased by her parents Dorence and Joan Smith, and father-in-law Normand J. Boulanger. Visitation hours will be held from 4-7 p.m. Wednesday, December 6, 2017 at Leete-Stevens Enfield Chapels, 61 South Rd., Enfield. Committal service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, December 7, 2017 at Elm Grove Cemetery in Mystic. Donations in Sharon's memory may be made to CT Doggone recovery volunteers C/O Dog Star rescue P.O. Box 721 Canton, CT 06019 or online at www.ctdgrv.com. To further honor her, find extra kindness and compassion this season within yourself this season, and also hit Sharon up with a prayer letting her know who wins this season of The Voice once it airs.
