Josephine Wilczewski, 91, of East Longmeadow, widow of Stanley Wilczewski (2008) entered into eternal peace Thursday, Feb. 15, 2018 at Wingate of Wilbraham. Raised in Northampton, MA, she lived in Enfield for 60 years, where she and Stanley raised their family. Josephine was a parishioner at St. Bernard Church and was retired from Hamilton Standard after 25 years with the company. She played an integral part in the Apollo Space program sewing the astronauts' space suits.In her free time, she enjoyed ceramics, painting, knitting, crocheting, sewing, and playing cards. She is survived by a daughter, Gail Gaudet of Springfield, a son, Dan Wilczewski and his partner Carol Iwanski of Westfield; two grandchildren, Todd Gaudet and his wife Donna of East Longmeadow, and Andrew Wilczewski of New London, CT, a great grandson, Cameron Gaudet; and several nieces and a nephew. Besides her husband, Josephine was predeceased by two brothers and two sisters. A Memorial Mass will be held at the convenience of the family at St. Bernard Church in Enfield.
