Obituary for Nancy Cochran

Nancy L Cochran, 68, of Broad Brook, passed away Thursday Feb. 15, 2018 at St. Francis Hospital in Hartford. The daughter of the late Frederick and Frieda (Lipschitz) Cochran, Nancy was born in Stafford Springs and raised in Warehouse Point and Enfield. She was employed for the Hartford Courant for 20 years. Nancy loved animals, especially her cat Snuggles and her dog Stormy. She was a devoted Jehovah Witness and enjoyed studying the Bible. She loved crocheting, embroidery, country music, teddy bears and stuffed animals, and spending holidays with her family. She is survived by four children, Michael Kelley and his partner Kris Ribaudo of Broad Brook, James Kelley of Enfield, Heidi Engelhardt and her partner Terry Regan of Enfield, and Rebecca Milotte and her husband Leo of Enfield; three sisters, Wendy Wilhem, Lesley Young, Rosalie Levinson; four grandchildren, Stephanie Kelley, Shawn Engelhardt, Britney Milotte, Cody Ribaudo; a great granddaughter, Emma Kelley; Paul Stone, who treated Nancy like a second Mom; her caregiver, Jodie Jones whom Nancy adored; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband James Kelley. One hour of visitation will be held from 11 a.m - 12 p.m. followed by prayers at 12 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 21, 2018 at Leete-Stevens Enfield Chapels, 61 South Rd., Enfield. Burial will be private.
