Dear Michael,
You loved family & friends, life & laughter and the land. You impacted so many lives and you will be greatly missed, forever loved and always treasured in our hearts.
This tree is planted in your honor with love, sorrow and pride from all that had the opportunity to know you and lost you too soon.

My heartfelt sympathy goes out to Michael's family. Mike was such a great person and such a good family friend. My heart aches at the news of his passing. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you.

Michael was an amazing friend, father, grandfather, and a peepaw. When I think about the man we lost on March 2nd, I think not of the sadness that has bestowed all of us but of the amazing life he led. To quote William Wallace "Every man dies, but not every man really lives".

I met Michael 20 years ago and from the day I met him there was always a mutual respect. What started out as a father of a girl I admired blossomed into my father in law. Through the years we became very close and I would consider him not just my father in law but one of my best friends. We would often enjoy a beverage or three and just chat about the world. As most know he was an avid Red Sox fan although I was a Yankee fan we had a shared love for the game. Sports were just one item as we share many common traits. I loved those moments and they are memories I will never forget.

Michael was a man who loved the life he shared with his family and friends. It goes without saying that Angie along with daughters – Lisa and Heather and his five grandchildren (Zach, Josh, Julia, Bella and Eli) were his pride and joy. Although I am thankful for the time we had with Michael it will never be enough. He was very proud of his family and their various accomplishments. I for one will never forget the man who taught me about respect, love and admiration for what life can bring.

To Mike’s family, I worked with Mike for over ten years and before he retired I sat next to him. We shared many, many laughs and stories. He kept a count of days until retirement on his white board and would decrement the number each day. I am very glad he was able to retire and spend time with what is most important – family and friends. I am pleased he was able to travel to England, Scotland and Wales. Work is easily forgotten but colleagues like Mike are not. Peace.
