Obituary for Eleanor M Maniscalchi (Cimino)

Eleanor M Maniscalchi (Cimino)
Eleanor M. (Cimino) Maniscalchi, 95, lifelong resident of Enfield, CT, entered into Eternal Rest on Wednesday, May 23, 2018, in the comfort of her own home, surrounded by her loving family. Eleanor was born on April 7, 1923 in Enfield, the daughter of the late Dominick and Angelina (Tamaro) Cimino. She resided at the Cimino Farm before marrying her beloved husband, the late William Maniscalchi. Eleanor worked as a telemarketer at Olan Mills but her true career was caring for her loving children. She was a parishoner of St. Patrick Church in Enfield and was a member of the University of the Third Age (UTA) at Asnuntuck College, where she would attend meetings with her sisters. Eleanor enjoyed sitting outside, watching Soap Operas, and cooking. Her family looked forward to her Sunday dinners and especially enjoyed her homemade spaghetti and meatball dishes, and homemade pies. Eleanor's greatest joy in life was being a grandmother and spending time with her family. Eleanor is survived by her son, Paul Maniscalchi and her daughter-in-law, Rasa, as well as her daughter, Joan Drzewiecki and her son-in-law, Bob, all of Enfield; two beloved grandchildren, Linzee Drzewiecki and Isabella Maniscalchi; sisters-in-law, Mildred Cimino of Enfield and Barbara Raccone; a brother-in-law, Steve Triolo; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, William Maniscalchi, Eleanor is predeceased by a son, Alphonso "Alphie" Maniscalchi; two brothers, Joseph Cimino and John Cimino; and three sisters, Adeline Cusimano, Rosemarie Olschafskie, and Barbara Stefanik. Eleanor's family would like to thank the wonderful caregivers and staff at Caring Solutions for their excellent care and making life at home possible. Relatives and friends are invited to join the family for visitation hours on Friday, May 25, 2018 from 4:00 - 7:00 pm at Leete-Stevens Enfield Chapels, 61 South Rd., Enfield, CT 06082. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, May 26, 2018 at St. Patrick Church, 64 Pearl St, Enfield, CT 06082. A procession will gather at 9:00 am at the funeral home. Burial will follow at St. Patrick's King Street Cemetery, Enfield, CT.
