Obituary for Kristina M Benjamin

Kristina M Benjamin
The world lost an angel today – she returned to her home in the heavens.
Having gained all the information this world could give her, she shared all she had to give, and then she left. A battle lost, but a war still to be won.
What she sowed while here, hopefully will be remembered with happiness and laughs and not in pain and sorrow. We want the light to warm those planted seeds and for them to sprout and grow. So that, in time she will reap what she sowed. We can all, be a part of that, by remembering and talking up the good times.
Just imagine the explaining (splaining) she’s doing right now. All that spinning, all those tall tales.
So, she entered into the heavens, leaving us, but for sure we have not heard the last of Kristina.
Kristina Marie Benjamin was born in December 1989 to Pamela Leitao and William Benjamin. She lived her life in Enfield, CT, a graduate of Parkman, JFK, and Enfield High. She worked at various Dunkin Donuts and Panera Bread. Organizations she loved. Kristina was also an animal advocate, bringing home every stray cat she found. All living long and happy lives. Kristina loved Timber Trails horse camp, attending for many seasons. One of her goals was to become a Vet Tech so that she could actually work with rescued animals.
Kristina was introduced to drugs in her early teen years, and lived that drug lifestyle until losing the battle on May 24, 2018. What she once liked and welcomed became the enemy. She then fought it for many years, but lost.
She leaves her mother, Pamela Leitao, her brother John Benjamin, and her grandmother Joan Leitao. Coming from two large families, the Leitao’s and the Benjamin’s, there are too many to mention. She also had her large Friends family in Enfield, at APT, and at York with whom she was in constant contact.
There will be a memorial for her life, Tuesday, May 29th at Leete-Stevens Enfield Chapels, 61 South Rd, Enfield, CT from 6 – 7 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Second Chance Ranch, PO Box 452, East Longmeadow, MA, 01028 or to Feral Cats of East Windsor, C/O Russell Bergeron, PO Box 198, East Windsor, CT 06088.
