Obituary for Stella Adams

Stella E. (Klesczewski) Adams, 94, loving wife of the late Edward L. Adams entered into Eternal Rest on Monday January 28, 2019, surrounded by her loving family. Stella was born February 10, 1924, in Enfield, CT the daughter of the late Adolph and Gladys (Budzinski) Klesczewski. She was raised in Enfield where she attended local schools and graduated from Enfield High School. Stella was a faithful and active parishioner of St. Joseph Church and member of their St. Helen Society. Florida became Stella and Ed’s second home until Ed’s passing and Stella needed to be closer to family and friends. Stella was very proud of her Polish heritage and could be found dressed in Red and White dancing a polka. She enjoyed playing cards with friends, watching UCONN Basketball, but most importantly being a loving and devoted Babcie. Also affectionately referred to as Cioci, she will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister and will be deeply missed. She is survived by her two children, Edward Adams of Rockville, and Terry Marek of Broad Brook; her two loving grandchildren, Eddie Marek and Stephanie Marek and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband she was also predeceased by her son-in-law, Mark Marek; four brothers, Leon, William, Steven, and Henry Klesczewski and a sister, Leona Kolodziej. Stella’s family would like to thank the staff and aides at Brookdale South Windsor and the Visiting Nurse & Health Services of CT for the love and care given to both Stella and her family. Relatives and friends are welcome to join the family on Friday, February 1, 2019, from 4 pm to 7 pm at Somers Funeral Home, 354 Main St., (Route 190), Somers. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, February 2, 2019, at 10 am at St. Joseph Church, 33 West St., Rockville. Burial will follow in St. Bernard Cemetery, Park St. Enfield.
