Peter Lowe, 69, of Enfield and loving husband of 43 years to Joan Coleman-Lowe. Peter was born July 30, 1947, in Berlin, Germany the son of the late Rolf and Anneliese (Lamprecht) Lowe. He immigrated to the United States in 1967 and became a U.S. citizen in 1988. Peter proudly served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War and was the recipient of the Bronze Star. He was employed as a mechanic for over 53 years most recently with Woodland Auto Body in East Hartford from which he retired in October of 2014 after several years. Peter enjoyed gardening and spending time with his family especially his grandchildren. In addition to his wife, Joan he is also survived by four sons, Alex Lowe of New Haven, Andrew Lowe and his wife, Elisa, Douglas Lowe and Sebastian Lowe all of Enfield; his four beloved grandchildren, Charlotte, Nathan, Peter and Hadley Lowe and several nieces and nephews. Peter was predeceased by a brother, Jorg Lowe. Relatives and friends are welcome to join the family during visiting hours on Saturday, September 17, 2016, from 10 am to 12:30 pm at the Leete-Stevens Enfield Chapels, 61 South Rd., Enfield. A funeral service for Peter will be celebrated at 12:30 p.m. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
