Obituary for Cedric Hunt

Cedric Murray Hunt, 89, of St. Petersburg, FL husband of the late Ingomar (Shivers) Hunt entered into Eternal Rest on Sunday, August 26, 2018, at Bon Secours Maria Manor. Born in Hartford, CT on October 12, 1928, Cedric was the son of the late Leigh and Bertice (Phelps) Hunt. Cedric resided in Cape Cod for 12 years and prior to that he made his home in Enfield for over 34 years. He retired from the Fireman’s Fund Insurance Co. where he was employed as an underwriter for several years. He was an avid fan of the New York Yankees and member of the Jaycees for several years. Cedric was active in Boy Scouts Troop 108 in Hazardville. He volunteered for many different organizations at the Cape and in St. Petersburg, FL and received an award for his many years and hours of volunteering. He leaves three children, Mary-Ellen Archer and her partner, Ronald Remy of Lexington, SC, David Hunt of Marlbourgh, CT and Noreen Milvae and her partner, Alan Filiault of Southwick, MA; a sister, Myrtle Nadeau; two grandsons, Robert and William Milvae both of Enfield; a step-daughter Sallia Bandy, and several nieces and nephews. Cedric was predeceased by his brothers, Leigh and Sidney Hunt and his sisters, Marilyn Leist and Alice Hunt; a son-in-law, Robert Milvae and a step-son, Brion McNeil. Relatives and friends are welcome to join the family on Monday, October 1, 2018, during visiting hours from 10 am to 11 am at Leete-Stevens Enfield Chapels, 61 South Rd., Enfield.
