Obituary for Matilda "Mattie" Dojka

Matilda (Mattie) A. Dojka of Longmeadow Mass. passed away on Jan. 1, 2019 at Heritage Hall East (Agawam, Mass).
Born in Chicopee Falls, Mass. on April 9, 1921, she was the daughter of the late Peter and Bertha Budzynkiewicz Madej. After growing up in Chicopee Falls, she lived in Enfield, CT for a short time and moved to Longmeadow in 1951. She worked for 39 years as a supervisor and label clerk at American Cyanamid (formally John H. Breck Co.) in West Springfield Mass. She was a long-time communicant of St. Adalbert church in Enfield CT.
She was predeceased by her husband Stanley of 55 years, who died on March 21,2002. She was also predeceased by four brothers: Joseph, Alphonse, John and Henry and two sisters: Mary Madej and Stella Smist. She is survived by a sister-in-law Claire Madej of Amherst, Mass. as well as several nieces and nephews. The family of Mattie would like to thank the staff at Heritage Hall for the care given her during her stay.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 12, 2019 at St. Adalbert Church, 90 Alden Ave., Enfield, CT. Visitation will be held from 9-10:15 a.m. Saturday morning at Leete-Stevens Enfield Chapels, 61 South Rd., Enfield. Burial will follow at St. Adalbert's Cemetery.
