I had worked with Robert at Five Star Builders and often went to lunch with him. He always spoke of his family and I am sorry I never got to meet you. Robert was a very kind and very thoughtful person. Robert, John Landry and myself met for lunch this past August and he was so upbeat. We discussed engineering and construction and we laughed a lot. I will miss his smile, wit and enthusiasm.
I only heard about Roberts passing yesterday but even though we were not close friends his passing will always leave a void in my heart for the kind and caring personality of Robert will always remain with those he met.

Condolence: God bless you all. I still remember my 1st day at work here when Rob came to me at the reception area, introduced himself and started helping me out. I can't describe how his help relieved me of a huge stress. My words won’t be able to truly describe him, nor will they be enough to show how just one kind word to a new comer to this country can go a long way. Rob was nice, very kind and generous. He touched my life in ways that you will never know. Every winter will be easier because of his thoughtfulness, when I moved to the States, and I was looking for a coat and he offered to get me one from his brother or even loan me money. Again, his kind heart was extended when he learned that my family was coming to the U.S, he brought me a car seat and stroller for my son!.. RIP Robert Ekstrom, I am praying for you and for your family! You will always be in my heart!

We have a beautiful hope given at Jo 5:28,29 where God will remember our dead loved ones and bring them back to earth to enjoy life forever. Ps 37:11,29. Then God's will will be done on earth.

Words can not express the sadness and heavy heart I hold on this day. Learning of Rob's passing is leaving me speechless. I had the opportunity to be blessed in Rob's presence while here at PB. He was always a soft spoken gentleman with a warm and welcoming smile. His smile will be an indelible memory in my soul. Indelible because no other person could greet or welcome you into his spirit the way Rob did. He has been missed from the day he left us to seek treatment and will continue to be missed in the days to come.
