Theresa Deveau, 92, of Suffield and formerly of Enfield, beloved wife of the late Calvin J. Deveau Sr., passed away Wednesday, Jan. 16, 2019 at The Suffield House where she was cared for and loved by the wonderful staff. She was born and raised in Bangor, Maine, and was the daughter of the late Peter and Margaret (O'Keefe) Julian. Theresa taught in the Enfield School system, including St. Adalbert's, Enfield High School and many of the Enfield Elementary Schools. Theresa enjoyed exploring nature with her family, especially hiking and camping. She also enjoyed reading, photography, followed politics with a passion, and enjoyed travels later in life with her sisters, Maina and Anne.
She leaves two children and their spouses, Kathryn DelGiudice and Michael of Enfield and Paul Deveau and Louis Lista of Hartford, five grandchildren, Brandon, Shannon, Zoe, Brittany and Simone, as well as a Great Granddaughter, Talia Lin. Besides her husband Calvin, she was predeceased by two children, Tonia Rochelle and Calvin J. Deveau Jr., as well as her six siblings. Services and burial are private.
