Rosamond Y. Sidway, 97, of Enfield, CT. Widow of John Sidway (1987), passed away peaceful surrounded by her loving family, Friday, January 5, 2018. The daughter of the late Milton and Florence (Carney) Young.
Rosamond was born in the Thompsonville section of Enfield and was a lifelong resident of the community. She retired from Hallmark Cards after 25 years, and was later employed as an office assistant at The Women's Health Group until she was 93 years old.
In her free time, she loved knitting, baking cakes & sending out greeting cards as well as spending time with family & friends. She is survived by a son, Michael Sidway and his wife Debbie and a sister, Gene Locke. Three grandchildren, Keri Lamontagne, Michelle Sidway, Kimberly Brassard and her husband George. Four great grandchildren, Ella and Luke Hogan, Kade Lamontagne, and Logan Torres.
Besides her husband, Rosamond was predeceased by a son, John L. Sidway and her sister Virginia Sidway.
Visitation will be held at Leete-Stevens Enfield Chapels, 61 South Rd., Enfield, CT from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 10, 2018 followed by a funeral service at 11:30 a.m. Burial will follow at St. Patrick's King St. Cemetery.
