Mary E. Duffy, 90, longtime resident of Enfield, entered into Eternal Rest on January 1, 2019. She was born on March 18, 1928 in Providence, RI, the daughter of the late Hector and Dorothy (White) Bessette. Mary worked for Hallmark Cards, Inc. as a computer technician for many years before retiring in 1990. She was a communicant of St. Bernard Church. Mary was an avid Scrabble player and enjoyed caring for her yard. She loved to travel, including two cross country trips she completed with her sister and many visits to her favorite place, Rhode Island. Mary is survived by two children, Robert Duffy and his wife, Barbara of Broad Brook and Patricia Kraucunas and her husband, Mitchell of Enfield; six grandchildren, Donna Duffy, Melissa Bochman and her husband, Sean, Alicia Sampson and her husband, Brandon, Ashley Wood and her husband, Thomas, Daniel Kraucunas and Steffanie Kraucunas; and four great grandchildren, Colin, Grant, Faye and Isabelle. She is also survived by her good friend, Barbara Wilson of Enfield. In addition to her parents, Mary was predeceased by two brothers and her sister. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Parkway Pavilion, especially to the dedicated nurses and aides. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, January 4, 2019 at St. Bernard Church, 426 Hazard Ave, Enfield, CT 06082. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery, 70 Church St, West Warwick, RI 02893.
