Condolence: Our deepest sympathies to the entire Bromage family. Howie was the most amazing athlete and person to be part of our community. His kindness and sincere passion to play hard and be a caring man for all is a lesson for all. Our family has wonderful memories growing up and being closely associated with the entire Bromage family. Howie is a true hall of Famer, but an even better man and friend. We will miss him so much.

Condolence: To Lois and family. I was shocked to hear about Howie's passing. It was only about a month ago that we had lunch together, and talked about getting together again. I knew Howie from the meals on wheels program where Lois sorted the meals and Howie and Bob delivered them. What a pair. We are out of town and unfortunately will not be at the wake or funeral. My heart and soul and prayers go out to you and your family. Howard

Condolence From: Rob Rarus
Condolence: I am deeply saddened to hear of this news. I can only echo all of the words of tribute to Howie. He was a gifted athlete, but much more importantly he was a humble, giving man who dedicated his life to his family and his community. He took the time to care. I have many fond memories of playing basketball with him in the rec leagues in Enfield. He had one of the highest basketball IQs of anyone I know, and he was the consummate team player, a quality which he also echoed in every aspect of his life. I also have good memories of attending college basketball games with him and several of the other guys from the Enfield rec leagues, including a road trip several years ago to see a game at the Brown gym, as guests of Russ Tyler. On that day, Howie and Lois gave a few of us a brief walking tour of the Brown campus, after the game. Again, one of many fond memories. It was my privilege to know Howie as my friend, and I would like to extend my sincere condolences to Lois and the Bromage family. I know he was a man of deep faith, and that he now is in the hands of the Lord. Rest in peace, my dear friend, and thank you for the gift of your generous spirit.

Condolence: Dear Lois, David, Mary, Bob and John, Pat and I were so sad to hear about Howie, as you know we always enjoyed chatting with both Howie and Lois after Sunday mass. I personally always enjoyed when Howie came for his haircut, for I knew that about every 4-6 weeks we would enjoy discussing sports, family, travel and many other aspects of life. It has truly been my pleasure to get to know Howie over the years and he was not just a client but a dear friend one in whom I will truly miss. I am so sorry that I am unable to attend his services as I will be away but I do hope you all know how much Howie meant to me and I will forever be grateful for the friendship we shared. Your family is in our hearts and prayers today and always.

My thoughts and prayers are with you all, but there is another message of hope that id like to share with all of you and it comes from what Jesus Christ has spoken about in the Bible book of John 5:28,29 in which we find him giving us a future promise of himself resurrecting our dead loved ones back to life again and by his death, giving all those who are brought back the opportunity to live forever on a peaceful earth, like it says in the Bible at Psalm 37:29... So of for any reason anyone of you would like to get to know more about this womderful hope for the future, then by all means feel free to visit us at JW.org and there you will find many spiritual things that will give yr hearts and minds the joy in knowing what the future holds.

Condolence: Dear Lois & family. It is with a heavy heart that I write this - we are are unbelievably sad that Howie has passed away. He was a dear friend through the years of Little League, Adult Basketball into the Senior Olympics travel, the trips to Las Vegas,Florida,Louisiana,& our home state of SD, Howie's tour of Enfield showing us his home town, as recent as January celebrating Troy's 50th birthday at the local Brewery. Condolence From: Tim Jensen
Condolence: Shocked does not begin to describe my feelings. When Dave and I were in school together, I always looked at Mr. Bromage as a role model - a loving parent, a tremendous athlete, a straightforward businessman and a genuinely warm and friendly person. As I got older and we shared common interests like the Enfield Athletic Hall of Fame, we grew to be good friends who could talk sports anytime, anyplace. I will miss our lengthy discussions about the Baseball Hall of Fame, during which he would never fail to comment that Don Sutton and Tony Perez should not be in there. I will miss lunches at LuLu's, where we'd talk town stuff. Like I've said many times before about my own dad - if I can be half the man Howie Bromage was, I'll be doing pretty good for myself. RIP my friend.
