Obituary for Timothy J. McGuane

Timothy J. McGuane, 61, of Somers, CT loving husband of 38 years to Anne (Lomangino) McGuane passed away on Thursday, June 7, 2018, at St. Francis Hospital with his family by his side. Timmy was born June 26, 1956, Ft. Meade, MD the son of the late Dr. Richard and Patricia (Kearney) McGuane. He was a gradauate of the University of Connecticut where he received his Bachelor's Degree. He was a parishioner of St. Bernard Church in Enfield and All Saints Church in Somersville. Timmy coached youth basketball in Somers for several years. He served on the Somers Board of Education and taught Microsoft Office for the Somers Adult Education. He was employed by the State of Connecticut Department of Transportation as an IT Analyst for 30 years. Tim was an active member of CSEA/SEIA Local 2001 where he currently served as a Union Steward. He served on several committees and formerly served as Treasurer during his tenure. He enjoyed playing Men's Basketball in Somers on Monday and Thursday nights. He was an enthusiastic fan of the Red Sox, Celtics, and Patriots. He enjoyed when his teams defeated the NY teams. In addition to his wife, Anne Francesca, he is also survived by his five brothers, Kevin M. McGuane and his wife Karen M. of Somers; Richard J. McGuane and his wife Jeanne, E. of Hopedale, MA; Brian S. McGuane and his wife Stephanie A. of Wrentham, MA; Martin S. McGuane and his wife Linda A. of Enfield; and Michael P. McGuane and his wife Sherry G. of Wethersfield; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Frank and Adrienne Lomangino of Tinton Falls, NJ; and many brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, friends and co-workers. Relatives and friends are welcome to join the family during visiting hours on Tuesday, June 12, 2018, from 2 pm to 4 pm and 7pm to 9 pm at Leete-Stevens Enfield Chapels, 61 South Rd., Enfield, CT and on Wednesday, June 13 from 10 am to 12 pm at the funeral home. A funeral procession will form at the funeral home at 12 pm for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 12:30 pm at St. Bernard Church, 426 Hazard Ave., Enfield.
