Margaret C. (Stanley) Remotti, 68, of Windsor Locks loving wife of 47 years to Claudio Remotti entered into Eternal Rest on Saturday, July 7, 2018 after a brief illness surrounded by her loving family at John Dempsey Hospital. Margaret was born December 7, 1949 in Crestview, FL the daughter of the late William Ogie and Lois Gene (Thompson) Stanley. As her children were growing up, Margaret operated a daycare out of her home for many years. In her spare time, she enjoyed reading historical fiction, drawing birds and flowers, and enjoying outdoor activities with her family and friends. Margaret was the Matriarch of the Remotti family and often could be found cooking a delicious meal for her loved ones, especially during the holidays. In addition to her beloved husband, she is also survived by four children, Melissa Remotti of Camarillo, CA, Jason Remotti and his wife Dawn of Goleta, CA, James Remotti and his wife Sonia of Windsor Locks, and Mary Remotti of Windsor Locks. Margaret was the doting grandmother of six grandchildren, Alexander, Tyler, Isabella, Zachary, Nathaniel and Peter Remotti; two brothers, William David Stanley of Baker, FL and John Stephen Stanley and his wife Lois of Jacksonville, FL and several nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are welcome to join the family during visiting hours on Wednesday, July 11, 2018 from 5pm to 8 pm at the Windsor Locks Funeral Home, 441 Spring St., Windsor Locks. A funeral procession will gather on Thursday, July 12, 2018 at 9am at the funeral home for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10am at St. Mary Church. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery. Memorial contributions in memory of Margaret may be made to the Maleia Spears Trust care of Trustee Kristen Ellis at 850-682-2120 or kristen@weltonlafirm.com, in support of cancer treatment for 11-year-old Maleia from Margaret's hometown of Baker, FL.
