Angelina C. "Ann"  Dessaint (Bucossi)
Angelina C. “Ann” (Bucossi) Dessaint, 94, of Windsor Locks loving wife of 53 years to the late Leroy L. “Roy” Dessaint entered into Eternal Rest on Wednesday, July 11, 2018, at St. Francis Hospital surrounded by her loving family after a brief illness. Ann was born December 15, 1923, in Wilmington, VT the daughter of the late Carlo and Vita (Agusta) Bucossi. Ann and Roy along with their family owned and operated The Shoe Shack in Warehouse Point for over 20 years. They were snowbirds spending their winter months in Winter Haven, FL. Ann was a faithful parishioner of Mary, Gate of Heaven Parishes for many years. She was a longtime member of the Windsor Locks Senior Center and member of the Windsor Locks Senior Bowling League. In the 1970’s Ann was the Chairwoman for the Windsor Locks Ambulance Fund. She volunteered for many years with several charitable organizations, especially the Ronald McDonald House and the American Cancer Society. Ann enjoyed playing BINGO and trips to the Casino with her family and friends to play the slot machines. She is survived by her three daughters, Karla Rowella and her husband, Robert of Windsor, Alison Pohl and her husband, Jonathan of Unionville, and Amy Moriarty and her husband, Kevin of West Suffield; her nine beloved grandchildren, Ben, Danielle, Kristina and R.J. Rowella, Meaghan, Michael, and Jack Moriarty, Richard and Andrew Pohl; two great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Ann was predeceased by two brothers, Louis and Miro Bucossi and two sisters, Mini Birchfield and Mary Frost. Relatives and friends are welcome to join the family during visiting hours on Sunday, July 15, 2018, from 2 pm to 5 pm at the Windsor Locks Funeral Home, 441 Spring St., Windsor Locks. A funeral procession will form at 10: am at the funeral home on Monday, July 16, 2018, for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 11 am at St. Robert Bellarmine Church, South Elm St.., Windsor Locks. Burial will be held privately in St. Michael’s Cemetery, Brattleboro, VT. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in memory of Ann may be made to the Windsor Locks Lions Ambulance Fund, P.O.
