John W. "Jack" Hurley, 72, of Stafford, beloved husband of Molly (Ulanowicz) Hurley for 49 years, passed away Thursday, July 26, 2018 at St. Francis Hospital. Born and raised in Manchester, he lived in Enfield and later moved to Stafford where he and Molly resided for the past 47 years. He served his country honorably in the U.S. Marines during the Vietnam War. Jack was employed by UPS for over 35 years before retiring. He was a devoted husband , and loving father and grandfather who loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He was also a dependable neighbor and good friend to many. In his free time, he enjoyed fitness, running, as well as woodworking and welding. Besides his wife Molly, he is survived by two sons, Nicholas Hurley of Vernon, and Eric Hurley of Stafford Springs. He also leaves his mother Caroline (Corna) Hurley, two brothers, Clyde Hurley and his wife Kandi of Somers, Wayne Hurley and his wife Janice of Enfield, a sister, Trish Packer of MS, his two grandchildren, Nick and Emmy Hurley, and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father, Warren Hurley. Services and burial are private. Donations in Jack's memory may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project., Topeka, KS, PO Box 758517, 66675-8517.
