Darlene M. Mickiewicz, 70, of Somers, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, Oct. 13, 2018 in Intercourse, PA. The daughter of the late Stanley and Marguerite (Woods) Mickiewicz, Darlene was born and raised in Springfield, MA where she resided most of her life. She retired from Mass Mutual after 20 plus years with the company. She was the President of the Springfield Golden Age Club, Secretary of the St. James Golden Age Club, and a member of the Over 60 Club at Sacred Heart Church where she was a parishioner. Darlene loved crafting as well as going out to restaurants. She was an avid Notre Dame Football fan. She was always available to help people when needed. She is survived by her domestic partner and love for 21 years, Cathy Hastings of Somers, a brother, James Mickiewicz of Perryville, MD, a niece, Kayla, a nephew, Jeremie both of MD, three special cousins, Lorrie, Sheila, and Jodi, and a brother-in-law, William Hastings of NV. She also leaves many friends. Visitation hours will be held from 6-8 p.m. Wed. Oct. 17, 2018 at Leete-Stevens Enfield Chapels, 61 South Rd., Enfield. Family and friends may gather at 8:45 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 18, 2018 at the funeral home for a procession to Sacred Heart Church, 395 Chestnut St., Springfield, for a 10 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial.
