Obituary for Leonard C. "Lenny" Percoski

Leonard C. “Lenny” Percoski, 77, of Ellington loving husband of Mary (Decker) Percoski passed away at home with his family by his side on Tuesday, November 13, 2018. Leonard was born December 2, 1940, in Somers, CT the son of the late Bradley R. and Irene (Girouard) Percoski. Lenny was a proud truck driver for Coca Cola from which he retired after 39 ½ years. He served as the Secretary/Treasurer for Teamster Local # 1035 for 2 years. Lenny enjoyed trips to the Casino to play the slot machines with his wife. He was an avid collector of Coca Cola Memorabilia. In addition to his wife, Mary he is also survived by four children, Steven Percoski and his wife, Paige of Katy, TX, Athena Cowee and her husband, David of Enfield, Lisa Zullo and her husband, Michael of Bridgton, ME and Mark Percoski and his wife, Megan of Ozark, MO; a brother, John Percoski and his wife, Carol of Broad Brook; 11 grandchildren, Zachary, Kyle, Eric, and Olivia Percoski, Tyler and Clayton Cowee, Jessica Collamati and her husband, Rob, Vincent and Joseph Zullo, Stephanie and Nathanyl Percoski; three great-grandchildren, Tino, Max, and Melanie; two brothers-in-law, Joseph Ciriello of ME and Bill Decker and his wife, Claudette of PA; a sister-in-law, Donna Percoski of New Britain; many nieces, nephews and cousins. Lenny was predeceased by two brothers, Robert and Alan Percoski and a sister, Susan Ciriello. Relatives and friends are welcome to join the family during visiting hours on Saturday, November 24, 2018, from 1 pm to 3 pm at the Somers Funeral Home, 35 Main St. (Route 190) Somers. A celebration of Lenny’s life will begin at 3 pm at the funeral home. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, please consider giving to the Division of Hematology/Oncology at Connecticut Children’s Medical Center in memory of Leonard Percoski.
