Joanne F. (Lapointe) Ladd, 70, of Somers, loving wife of 49 years to Chester Ladd entered into Eternal Rest on Friday, December 14, 2018, in the comfort of her home surrounded by her family. Joanne was born December 11, 1948, in Hartford, CT the daughter of the late Albert J. and Geneva M. (Osgood) Lapointe. Joanne was born in Hartford and raised in Enfield where she attended local schools. She moved to Somers in 1973 and she and Chet raised their family. She was a parishioner of St. Bernard Church. Her favorite times were spent with family and friends. Joanne was the Matriarch of the Ladd family and will be deeply missed. In addition to her husband, Chet she is also survived by four children, Mark Ladd of Somers, Christopher Ladd of Enfield, Jonathan Ladd of Somers, and Lisa Raffia of Feeding Hills, MA; her five beloved grandchildren, Vienna and Megan Ladd, Jonathan, Jarrett, and Rebecca Fondakowski; two brothers, Ernie Lapointe of Bloomfield and Thomas Watton and his wife, betty of FL; her sister, Cheryl Harras and her husband, Peter of Bristol; a brother-in-law, Scott Ladd and his wife, Joanne of Coventry; a sister-in-law, Christine Ladd and of Windsor Locks, and many nieces and nephews. There are no calling hours. A Mass of Christian Burial for Joanne will be celebrated on Wednesday, December 19, 2018, at 11 am at St. Bernard Church, 426 Hazard Ave., Enfield.
