Mary D. Milliken, 86, of Somers, beloved wife of Robert C. Milliken for over 66 years, passed away at home, December 26, 2018. Born and raised in Bronx, NY, Mary lived in the Somers community since 1965 where she and Robert raised their family. She loved art, painting, and ceramics. She also enjoyed reading mystery novels, but treasured most of all, the time she spent playing games with her grandchildren. Besides her husband Robert, she is survived by three sons, Paul Milliken and his wife Donna of Somers, Stephen Milliken and his wife Lisa of Somers, and Douglas Milliken and his wife Deborah of East Longmeadow, MA, and a daughter-in-law, Jimena Milliken of Springfield, MA. She also leaves, a sister, Josephine Fetko of Broadbrook, two brothers, Anthony Diorio and his wife Frances of Riverhead, NY, and Michael Diorio and his wife Ruth of New Port Richie, FL, ten grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews. Mary was predeceased by a daughter, Carlyne Milliken, a son, Robert L. "Larry" Milliken, and a granddaughter, Michelle Milliken. A funeral service will be held at 12 p.m. Monday, Dec. 31, 2018 at Somers Funeral Home, 354 Main St., Somers, followed by burial at Somers Center Cemetery.
