Obituary for John Patrick Lennon

John Patrick Lennon, 58, of Windsor Locks passed away on Thursday, January 03, 2019, at Hartford Hospital surrounded by his family. John was born October 21, 1960, in Hartford, CT the son of the late John and Patricia (O’Keefe) Lennon. He attended local schools in Windsor Locks and graduated from Windsor Locks High School and attended the University of Connecticut. John was employed for over 17 years with FedEx from which he retired. John was an avid fan of the Boston Red Sox and the New England Patriots. He also enjoyed listening to music especially the Grateful Dead and the Beatles. John is survived by three siblings, Kate Vanzant and her husband, Charles of East Longmeadow, MA, Teresa Wild and her husband, Edmund, II of North Granby, and James Lennon and his wife, Sue Ann of Enfield; nieces and nephews, Shane Wild and his wife, Lisa, Bridget Wild, Edmund Wild, III and his wife, Amy, Sean and Tyana Vanzant, Dylan Lennon, and Joshua LaJoie; two great-nieces and two great-nephews, Londyn and Aspen Wild, and Caden and Colby Vanzant and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. Relatives and friends are welcome to join the family during visiting hours on Wednesday, January 9, 2019, from 4 pm to 7 pm at the Windsor Locks Funeral Home, 441 Spring St., Windsor Locks. A funeral procession will gather on Thursday, January 10, 2019, at 9 am at the funeral home for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10 am at St. Mary Church. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery. Memorial contributions in memory of John may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 225 N. Michigan Ave., Fl. 17, Chicago, IL 60601.
