Eddie was born June 28, 1946 in New Bedford, MA and was the son of the late Mr. Edward A. Jacobs and Mary C. (Ward) Jacobs. Eddie grew up in New Bedford, MA and graduated from Bishop Stang High School class of '64 before receiving an Associates Degree in Business Administration from Johnson and Wales University in Providence, RI.
He served honorably in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War for which he was awarded a Purple Heart.
Eddie had worked as a Head Custodian for the Enfield Public Schools and retired after 23 years. The last school he worked at and had many fond memories of was Prudence Crandall Elementary.
Eddie had many interests he was passionate about: NY Yankees, NY Giants, and Boston Bruins. Another chapter in his life that gave him many years of happiness was playing softball on the "Over 30 League".
He was most passionate about his love for music. Many concert events over the years did he attend. Not only did he have profound knowledge of music, he was a talented DJ formerly known as "EJ the DJ" and took great pleasure in making thoughtful CDs for family and friends.
