Robert E. “Bob” Carlson, 75, of Enfield, loving husband, of Carolyn A. (Dentino) Carlson entered into Eternal Rest on Wednesday, January 16, 2019, at home. Bob was born March 17, 1943, in Springfield, MA the son of the late Elliott and Edwina (Burns) Carlson. After high school Bob enlisted in the United States Air Force and retired after 20 years of dedicated service to his country. Bob was employed by the United States Postal Service retiring after 20 years at the Somers Post Office. He was an avid fan of NASCAR and loved cars. Bob and Carolyn were united in Holy Matrimony on December 23, 1987. In addition to his wife, Carolyn to whom he was married 31 years he is also survived by three children, Diane Stevenson and her husband, John of AZ, Barbara Corbett and her husband, Dean of MA, and Robert Carlson and his wife, Luisa of CA; three grandchildren, David Peterson and his wife, Becca of MN, Joseph Peterson and his wife, Kim of CO, and Colton Godman of MA; two great-grandchildren, Charlie and Gretchen Peterson; a brother, Paul Carlson and his wife, Nancy of Wilbraham, MA; a nephew, Jeffrey; four step-children, Rich, Mike, Joan, and Kathy and their ten children who were very dear to Bob. There are no calling hours. Bob’s family will welcome relatives and friends to a Celebration of Life Service on Monday, January 21, 2019, at 2 pm at the Leete-Stevens Enfield Chapels, 61 South Rd., Enfield.
