Obituary for Louis J. Savoie

Louis J.”Louie” Savoie, 68, of Enfield loving husband of Barbara Ann (Loos) Savoie entered into Eternal Rest on Tuesday, February 12, 2019, in the comfort of his home after a brief illness. Louie was born March 22, 1950, in Saint John New Brunswick, Canada. Louie retired in 2013 from Northeast Interiors as a carpenter. Prior to Northeast, Louie owned and operated Savoie Home Improvement, which he began with his dad. He was an avid NASCAR , baseball and football fan . Louie loved riding motorcycles as well as spending time with family and friends. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend that would often stop what he was doing to help a friend in need. In addition to his wife, Barbara to whom he was married 21 years, he is also survived by two daughters, Teila Savoie of Suffield and Melissa Winiarz and her husband, Walter of South Windsor; his beloved granddaughter Amelia Winiarz. Louie was excitedly anticipating the arrival of a new grandson in March. He is also survived by four siblings; Linda Sirios, Adrian Sirios, Suzann Sirios, Mario Sirios all of Canada and several nieces, nephews, and many close friends. He was predeceased by his parents, Desire and Helen (Boucher) Savoie. Relatives and friends are welcome to join the family on Monday, February 18, 2019, from 4 pm to 7 pm at Leete-Stevens Enfield Chapels, 61 South Rd., Enfield. A Mass of Christian Burial for Louie will be celebrated on Tuesday, February 19, 2019, at 11 at Holy Family Church, 23 Simon Rd., Enfield. Please meet at the church.
