Obituary

Albatine "Tena" Ella (McCarvill) Dolloff, of East Windsor, was called home on Wednesday, July 29, 2020, three days after her 82nd birthday. She was born in Dyer Brook, Maine, the loving daughter to the late Preston and Hildred (Glidden) McCarvill. Albatine enjoyed a long career with Casual Corner before her retirement. She worked in the cafeteria at Enfield High School throughout the time her children were attending. Watching children was a great part of who she was- giving her the nickname "Mama Tena." She loved the Lord and attended Full Gospel Intrdnmntnl Church for the most of the last 48 years. Albatine is survived by her four loving children, Darci Phillips and her husband, Gary, David Dolloff, Daniel Dolloff and his wife, Kathleen, and Dana Dolloff and his wife, Laura; eight beloved grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; a brother, Richard McCarvill; sisters-in-law; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her husband, Gilbert Dolloff and a sister, Thelma Sipala. "It breaks our hearts to lose you, but you did not go alone- for part of us went with you, the day God called you home." Services and burial will be held privately at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in the honor of Albatine to the Alzheimer's Association, 225 N. Michigan Ave. Floor 17 Chicago, IL 60601 or to Full Gospel Intrdnmntnl Church, 745 Main St, Manchester, CT 06040.

Grammie was the definition and role model of a caregiver. She cared for her children, their children, and their children's children throughout her life. She was a wonderful care provider for the children of her church as well. She always had a gentle way about her. While in her care you would learn life lessons, grace and courtesy, the word of the Lord, and felt loved and supported. While she walked this Earth, I knew everything was just a little better because of her. She is now our angel and will continue to love, guide, and protect us. I cannot thank her enough for every thing she has done for us.

I also want to thank everyone who has taken great care of her while battling with her aliments. Many family members, church members, and staff of the facilities she stayed at, all came together to provide Gram with comfort, quality of life, and love. Thank you!

To Gram: I know you are home now and are shining bright with the Lord. I promise to continue sharing your love with the children and people in my life as well. Thank you for providing comfort, strength, and knowledge for me to grow into the woman I am today. You were strong, you were brave, and you were peaceful. I love you so very much. xoxo
