Anna Bellavance Lacross, wife of the late Ernest Lacross, passed away peacefully at Meadow Brook of Granby on December 5, 2020. She and her twin brother Norman, who preceded her in death, were born in Barrowsville, Massachusetts on August 8, 1922 to Thomas and Anna (Charette) Bellavance. She moved to East Windsor, CT in 1952 where she remained for most of her life. Anna was a dedicated mother first and foremost. Not only did she love and comfort her own children, she also mothered those of her sister Blanche Wright who died in 1956 and many others that she took into her heart and home. No child in need was ever turned away from her door. She had a fun-loving personality and despite her own hardships, always made people around her laugh. She made friends everywhere she went.
She was the devoted mother of Linda Roberts (Joseph) of Bell Buckle, TN, Jane Burgdorf (Mark) of Union, CT., Claire Delton (Bruce) of Southwick, MA. and Peter Lacross (Susan) of Middletown, CT. She also leaves behind her sister’s children Anne LaCroix of Attleboro, MA, Walter Wright of East Windsor, CT, Thomas Wright (Lynn) of Windsor Locks, CT and Jean Wright of Enfield, CT. She will be greatly missed by her grandchildren; Holly, Michelle, Jennifer, Matthew, Shane, Hillary, Dan, Jill, Paul, Ben, Pebbles and Alyssa; her great grandchildren, Nathan, Amaya, Isabella, Kai, Isaac, Jacob, Thomas and Liam and her best friend Cyndi Blanchard. She was predeceased by her littlest angel, Dawn Lacross. The family is very grateful to the staff at Meadow Brook for making her last few years comfortable.
Services will be private with a celebration of her life planned for August 2021. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to her favorite charity, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105
