Obituary for Antoinette J. Lepore (Porcello)

Antoinette J. (Porcello) Lepore, 95, of Suffield, formerly of Enfield, beloved wife of 49 years to the late Gerardo J. Lepore, peacefully passed away on Sunday, December 25, 2022 at Suffield by the River. Daughter of the late Giovanni “John” and Lucia “Lucy” (Alaimo) Porcello, she was born in Yonkers, NY on March 1, 1927. In her younger years, Antoinette worked as a dictaphone operator. A devoted wife and mother, Antoinette was passionate about preparing meals for her family, and also used her cake decorating talents to provide cakes for weddings, and other milestones for family and friends. She also enjoyed golfing, bowling, playing cards and bingo. Antoinette was a communicant of St. Patrick Church and an active member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Women's Auxiliary.

Antoinette is survived by her children, Lenora Hilinski and her husband Kenneth, and Celeste Estvanik and her husband Kenneth, all of Enfield, Gerard Lepore and his wife Phyllis of South Carolina, and Marie Ogrodnik and her husband Bernard of North Carolina. She also leaves behind her grandchildren, Sara Hilinski (Sebastian), Michael Hilinski (Daphna) , Gerard Hilinski (Marie) , Lauren Cross (Matthew), Nicole Taylor (Matthew) , Deanna Harvey (Jeffrey), Kevin Lepore, Daniel Ogrodnik, Christine Maxey, David Ogrodnik, and 13 great grandchildren. In addition to her late husband, she was predeceased by her brothers, Benjamin and Salvatore "Sam" Porcello, her sister, Mary Thompson, and her grandson-in-law, Lance Corporal Andrew Maxey .

Antoinette’s family will receive relatives and friends from 3 to 6 pm on Sunday, January 8, 2023 at Leete-Stevens Enfield Chapels, 61 South Rd, Enfield, CT 06082. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 am on Monday, January 9, 2023 at St. Patrick Church, 64 Pearl St, Enfield. Burial will follow in St. Patrick's King St Cemetery.
