Obituary for Antoinette "Toni" Sanzo (Iocco)

Antoinette “Toni” Sanzo, 62, beloved wife of Adam Sanzo, peacefully passed away on Monday August 1, 2022.
She was born in Orsogna, Italy on October 20, 1959, daughter of Ida Iocco and the late Domenico Iocco. In 1973 she immigrated to the United States with her family residing in Astoria, NY until moving to Enfield. She earned her degree from Borough of Manhattan Community College and worked in the banking industry for many years before working at Enfield High School Nutritional Services until her retirement. Throughout her career she made lifelong friends and became a beloved part of the community. She was devoted to her family and was very involved in raising her sons. She was always on the soccer and volleyball sidelines and was very proud of having both her sons obtain their Eagle Scout rank. She enjoyed summertime adventures at Harkness Memorial, spending time with her “Safe Grad” group of friends, and her beloved neighbors Mary and Tony Messina. She was an avid parishioner at Holy Family Church and volunteered her time with the Women’s Guild. She was also a devout grandmother, forever engaged and enlightened by her grandchildren who were the apple of her eye. She leaves them, and all those who she crossed paths with, memories of her kind, generous grace.
In addition to Adam, her beloved husband of 40 years, Toni is survived by her mother Ida Iocco, children Mark Sanzo and his wife Stephanie of Enfield; Michael Sanzo and his wife Whitney of Granby, her seven grandchildren; Adelyn, Anthony, Sammy, Alan, Ella, AJ and Zeke; her Sister Anna Kollisch and her husband Dave of West Springfield, MA and brother Vincent Iocco and his wife Oksana of Enfield; her mother in law Maria Sanzo of Enfield; her brother in law Mario Sanzo and his wife Lucianna of Enfield; her sister in law Renata Tsambiras and husband Ilias of Greece; and her eight nieces and nephews.
Her family will receive relatives and friends from 5pm to 7pm on Monday, August 8, 2022 at Leete-Stevens Enfield Chapels, 61 South Rd, Enfield, CT.  A mass will be celebrated at Holy Family Church, 23 Simon Rd, Enfield, CT at 10 am on Tuesday August 9, 2022. In lieu of flowers and in honor of Toni’s love of children, education, and community, in memoriam tributes can be made in her honor to:
