Barbara Wheeler Belden,  of Hartford and formerly of South Windsor,  passed away on March 17, 2021 at Avery Heights, Hartford, CT, at the age of 77.  Barbara was born on July 26, 1943.  She was the daughter of the Rev. Canon Francis R. Belden and Alice (Lucille) Becker Belden who predeceased her.  She was also predeceased by her life partner, Jerome Frankel.  Barbara lived in South Windsor prior to living at Avery Heights.  Barbara was a long time member of Christ Church Cathedral and a member of its Altar Guild.  She was employed at The Hartford for most of her working career.  She was a member of the Hartford Chorale and enjoyed travel with members of the Chorale and Christ Church Cathedral.  She is survived by her cousins Marian B. Call of Manchester, Katherine B. Curtiss of Newtown and Jonathan Belden of Avon and other cousins on her mother's side.  She is also survived by a wonderful friend, Connie Bain, who provided her with so much support.  A Graveside Service will be held Tuesday, March 23, at 11:00 AM in Thompsonville Cemetery, Enfield, CT.  Memorial contributions in Barbara's memory may be made to the Christ Church Memorial Fund, 45 Church St., Hartford, Ct. 06103.
